I’ve been a strong proponent of church planting for many years and somewhat given up on the typical struggling established church. However, lately I’ve begun to realize the importance of re-envisioning these stalled, struggling churches.
Most of us church planters would agree that the best, most healthy church plants involve a mother or sponsor church. The chances that a lone church planter will succeed aren’t as high. Thus it behooves us church planters to encourage re-envisiong and revitalizing established churches so they can sponsor church plants. This is a win-win scenario.
